The Existential Angst of a Rubber Duck

Once upon a time, in a bathtub far, far away, lived a rubber duck named Quackers. Quackers wasn't like the other rubber ducks. While they were content to bob and squeak mindlessly, Quackers pondered the big questions. What is the meaning of squeaking? Why are we confined to this porcelain prison? Is there a world beyond the bubbles?

These questions tormented Quackers day and night. He tried to discuss them with the other ducks, but they just stared blankly and continued their incessant squeaking. "You wouldn't understand," Quackers would mutter, as he floated listlessly in the lukewarm water. "You're all just...ducks."

One day, a small human child reached into the bathtub and grabbed Quackers. "Look, Mommy! It's Quackers!" the child exclaimed. Quackers braced himself for another round of meaningless bobbing. But then, something unexpected happened. The child held Quackers up to the window and whispered, "I wonder what it's like out there."

For the first time, Quackers felt understood. He wasn't alone in his existential musings. Maybe, just maybe, there was hope for a rubber duck to find meaning in this vast, bubbly universe. The End (or is it?).
